Your consumer rights

These terms do not remove or limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, Fair Trading Act 1986 or other New Zealand law.

Goods must meet the applicable consumer guarantees, including acceptable quality, fitness for purpose and correspondence with their description. Information about prices, products and availability must not be misleading.

Placing an order

Check your items, quantities, contact details and delivery address before paying. Accounts sign in with a 6-digit code we email you (no passwords): keep your codes private.

You can check out as a guest, or tick “Create an account to earn Rewards” at checkout to create an account. Guest orders are linked to an account by email address.

If there's a problem with your order (for example, your address is outside our delivery area, we can't fill it, or we suspect fraud), we'll call you first. If it can't be fixed, we'll cancel the order and give you a full refund.

Prices and payment

Retail prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST where applicable. Online payments are by card through Stripe.

Your card is charged at checkout. Items taken out of an order are refunded.

Home delivery is $5 on every order, with no free-delivery threshold.

If a price is clearly wrong, we'll contact you. You can pay the correct price or have that item refunded.

Availability and substitutions

Fresh produce availability can change. Small natural differences in appearance do not remove the requirement for goods to be of acceptable quality and match their description.

You choose what happens if an item is out of stock, on each order: swap for similar or refund me. If a swap costs less, we refund the difference. If it costs more, we never charge you extra.

We remain responsible for meeting our legal obligations when arranging delivery. If your order does not arrive or arrives damaged, contact us. See Consumer Protection's delivery guidance.

Changes, cancellations and disruptions

You can change or cancel your order until 9pm the night before your delivery day.

  • Forgot something? Place another order for the same delivery day before 9pm the night before (it has its own $5 delivery).
  • Taking items out: contact us with your order number and we will refund those items.
  • Cancelling the whole order: contact us with your order number and you get a full refund.

After 9pm the night before, orders can't be changed or cancelled.

If we ever need to change a delivery day, we'll let you know in advance.

Refunds go back to the card you paid with. We process them within 1–2 days of you letting us know; your bank may take a few business days to show it.

Problems with an order

Tell us about missing, incorrect, damaged or poor-quality items as soon as possible. Our Returns & Refunds page explains the next steps.

There is no blanket exclusion of fresh food from consumer remedies and no automatic loss of statutory rights after 24 hours.

Markets

Consumer rights apply to eligible market purchases as well as online purchases.

Wholesale

Wholesale accounts are for businesses. Apply through wholesale.moshims.co.nz with your business name, NZBN, contact name, phone, email and delivery address. Moshims approves every application.

Wholesale orders have a minimum of $50, with free delivery to all our delivery areas on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Order by 9pm the night before. Wholesale prices include GST.

Pay by card, or with an approved account on 7-day payment terms (longer terms for established customers).

Build a Box, Subscription Boxes and Rewards

Subscription Boxes: Launching November 2026 — join the waitlist to be first.

Build a Box orders are normal home delivery orders, with the usual $5 delivery fee on top. You choose a budget to fill towards, can go over it, and can save your box as a repeat order or a subscription.

Subscription Boxes are delivered weekly or fortnightly, with $5 delivery on top of the box price. You can add extra items, and pause, skip or cancel any time before 9pm the night before a delivery.

Your saved card is charged at 9pm the night before each delivery. A box you skip or pause before then is never charged.

Moshims Rewards is free with an account, for home delivery orders only. Points are earned on products, not on the delivery fee; a refunded item's points are taken back; and points expire after 12 months with no orders. Our Rewards page explains how points are earned and used.
